REVIEW ON WICKED.
The popular play here in Chicago is the untold story of the wicked witch of Oz; the relationship between the bad witch and the good witch. The story fills in the gaps, where did the scarecrow come from? what is up with the red shoes? why is the wicked witch green? and who really is tin man? If the story doesnt keep you interested, the costumes and set design will. My eyes were wandering all night viewing the old oriental interior of french baroque and then to the creative dark and transforming set. I loved the group in sync dancing. It reminded me of a grease thing yet for wizards and witches. I dont remember any play being so fascinating. Well I've only been to two, A christmas Carol, and Beauty and the Beast...they blew. Yet now I am so physced to go see more plays, and I am considereing set design, how neat that would be, just think no governmental projects, no developers, just pure need of creativity. I think I'm in love, or temporarily obsessed.
