I dont do too much blogging, these days...
I was going to do an album review list of 2005 like everyone else
but i decided not too, cos i dont really see myself in the "scene" , what the hell do i know?
instead:

ARTists & MUSICians CAME TOGETHER in 1967

one of my favorite albums was produced by the pop artist king Andy Warhol for the VELVET UNDERGROUND & NICO. Warhol used $700 of his own, and $800 from Norman Dolph (x-columbia records executive) to produce the record. It was Warhols idea to bring NICO in, he told Lou Reed to write some parts for her to sing. She appeared on 3 songs, "femme fatale", "All Tommarow's Parties" and "Ill be your mirror."

"The only time friction came in was when [filmmaker and Warhol associate] Paul Morrissey thought Nico should sing everything," said Morrison. "The problem was not with what Nico sang when she did sing. The problem was what to have Nico do when she wasn't singing."

The record became nicknamed "the banana" because of the cover art of which was by Warhol himself. The record was released in 1967.

NICO went on her own way before the album was released and released her own solo album Chelsea girl with producer John Cale. She does not take any writing credits on this album. Working also as a model/actress, NICO doesnt make another album until 1981, Drama of Exile, of which she does write all but 3 songs. NICO died a weird death (mystery oOoOoO), you can read about it here : http://smironne.free.fr/NICO/bio.html

One More Chance
(Nico)

Give awareness and some light
To the darkness outside
A roof above my head might just be right
For such a tender night

Give awareness and some light
To the darkness outside
A roof above my head might just be right
For such a tender night tender night

The bridge will show you how to fall
More than one good person you can call

Stepping on the stairway
Climbing up the wall
Has the man I told you about
Stopped in here or called ?

Stepping on the stairway
climbing up the wall
Has the man I told you about
Stopped in here or called ?

Was it the right moment to lift his head
And did he see that you are mad

Seven daughters and one son
